Under the updated pricing, Super XP now sells at GH¢12.77 per litre, though some stations are offering it at GH¢11.97. Diesel has climbed to GH¢13.45 per litre, with select outlets retailing it at GH¢12.70. RON 95 remains unchanged at GH¢14.68, a move Star Oil says is aimed at maintaining market stability amid rising international gasoline prices and low domestic stock levels.
While Star Oil has adjusted its rates, other oil marketing companies have opted to keep their pump prices steady, citing competitive pressures and marginal market shifts.
With the first pricing window of September just days away, market analysts are watching closely. The continued appreciation of the cedi has sparked optimism that fuel prices may ease further, offering some relief to consumers navigating rising transport and commodity costs.
