Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has thrown some subtle shade at his rival Shatta Wale, following the latter’s invitation to perform on Vybz Kartel’s show in Jamaica.
According to Stonebwoy, he has already surpassed that level, having performed at two separate shows in Jamaica and collaborated on numerous music videos with Jamaican artists.
Stonebwoy boasted that he has made around 10-15 videos in Jamaica, solidifying his reputation as a seasoned performer.
The “Putuu” hitmaker also claimed that he is now at a point in his career where he is bringing Jamaican artists to Ghana, rather than seeking opportunities abroad. This statement is seen as a clear indication of Stonebwoy’s perceived superiority over Shatta Wale.
In a further jab at his rival, Stonebwoy suggested that Shatta Wale’s performance at Vybz Kartel’s show would be nothing more than a “curtain raiser” – implying that Shatta Wale is not the main attraction.
Stonebwoy’s comments have sparked a lively debate among fans, with some defending Shatta Wale’s invitation as a significant opportunity, while others have praised Stonebwoy’s confidence and achievements. The rivalry between the two Ghanaian dancehall artists continues to simmer, with no signs of cooling down anytime soon.
