He observed that a significant number of believers rely on men to define their spiritual walk, often motivated by the material benefits they hope to receive from God. According to him, this mindset leaves many in ignorance of the deeper call to build a personal relationship with the Creator.

Addressing criticisms often directed at pastors for misconduct, Fordjour noted that such issues, though real, are not unique to the church. He compared the situation to national politics, where citizens frequently complain about leadership but still re-elect the same individuals. To him, wrongdoing exists everywhere, and Christians must be careful not to use it as an excuse to lose focus on God.
