A 16-year-old boy from Dambai is appealing to security authorities and the government to help locate his father, Fuseini Mohammed, who was recently abducted.

The teenager described the difficult situation his family has faced since his father’s disappearance, noting that he was the sole provider for the household. The family’s distress has had a direct impact on the children’s education: the boy, recently admitted to Yabram Community Day Senior High School, has been unable to start classes, while his siblings have also stopped attending school due to fears of being targeted.

The teenager believes a black pick-up vehicle seen patrolling their area on the day of the abduction may have been involved in his father’s disappearance.

His emotional appeal underscores the challenges families face during such incidents and the urgent need for swift intervention to ensure the safe return of abducted individuals.

Authorities have confirmed the case. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) John Nchor, Acting Oti Regional Public Affairs Officer, assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that findings will be shared in a transparent and thorough manner.
