  • On September 18, 2025, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will oversee the final burial rites of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
  • At 9 pm, the King will escort the Queen Mother’s remains to Bantama Baamu for rituals lasting until midnight.
  • Following this, the remains will be moved to Breman Baamu at Abusuakruwa for final interment.
  • After returning to Manhyia Palace, the King will perform the traditional kete dance with his Aheneyere (traditional wives) from 2 am to 4 am, concluding with ritual drinks.
  • At 5 am on Friday (Fofie), the Asantehene will undergo a purification ceremony to allow him to wear white cloths, marking the end of night rituals.

The final day of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s burial will keep the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, engaged from dusk until dawn.

Following a full day of funeral activities, the King will personally escort the Queen Mother’s remains at 9 pm to Bantama Baamu for ceremonial rites extending past midnight.

He will then lead the journey of the remains to their final resting place at Breman Baamu in Abusuakruwa.

Returning to Manhyia Palace, the Asantehene will engage in the traditional kete dance alongside his Aheneyere between 2 am and 4 am, concluding the ritual with the offering of traditional drinks.

At daybreak on Friday, he will undergo a purification rite, enabling him to don white ceremonial attire, completing the sacred overnight vigil.
