Actor Prince David Osei who claims he would be the president of Ghana very soon has added his cent to the ongoing “Dumsor” issue.
The actor who was captured trumpeting the good policies of the NPP in the last general election has said that the name President Mahama has become synonymous with “Dumsor”.
Prince David Osei took to his official X, formerly Twitter page to make the statement as he took Ghanaians back to between 2012 and 2016.
According to Prince David Osei in his post, between 2012 and 2016, when President Mahama was the president, Ghanaians suffered a lot from “Dumsor”.
He shared how because of the rampant “Dumsor”, Ghanaians lost businesses and found themselves in terrible and unpleasant situations, which angered them to vote massively against the then president in the 2016 general election.
“The name President Mahama has become synonymous with Dumsor. From the 2012- 2016 power crises, which crippled homes and businesses nationwide”, he wrote.
Comparing what happened between 2012-2016 and what is happening now, the actor said “Every tenure of President Mahama has been significantly marked and burdened by Dumsor”.
What surprises Prince David Osei is that “Despite this painful history and its well-documented and social impact, electricity tariffs are still through the roof”.
