Cheating in a relationship often breaks trust and causes emotional pain. It can also lead to doubt, insecurity and distance between partners.

Speaking on the subject, Highlife legend Kwabena Kwabena has explained that cheating is not gender-specific, stating that men are equally involved.

According to him, some men even engage in various sexual affairs with their wives’ close friends.

The veteran singer made these statement on Hitz FM on January 27, 2026, during a conversation about his hit song ‘Aso,’ which explores a breakup driven by disappointment, betrayal and the feeling of giving your all only for the relationship to collapse.

In the song, Kwabena Kwabena is frustrated because he believes he has done everything to make things work, but his girlfriend continues to hurt him.

Kwabena Kwabena explained that the record is relatable because, although he originally told the story from a male perspective, cheating happens in both directions.

“Apart from the fact that I’m telling the ‘Aso’ story for the men, it’s something which is relatable because it’s something happening both ways. There are guys who are chopping their wives’ best friends. You guys need to stop,” he said.

According to him, the current remix is the first of several others planned to commemorate the milestone.

He hinted that more collaborations are on the way, including possible versions that allow women to tell their side of the ‘Aso’ story.
