A driver associated with VIP Transport, along with a colleague, has publicly retracted accusations they made regarding the untimely death of their friend, Weezy, who tragically lost his life in a bus accident.
The drivers had claimed that other envious drivers used juju, or witchcraft, to orchestrate the crash that claimed Weezy’s life.
In a recent video posted on social media, the driver who initially made these allegations expressed his remorse for the comments he had made.
He explained that his remarks stemmed from a place of intense emotional turmoil—pain, anger, and grief in the wake of losing his friend.
He emphasized that he never intended to malign anyone within the driving community or at VIP Transport, and he extended a heartfelt apology to both his colleagues and supervisors at the company.
This apology, however, did not go unnoticed by social media users.
Many commentators suggested that he may have been compelled to retract his statements, likening his situation to that of media personality Afia Pokua, who also faced backlash for speaking out on controversial issues.
One user noted the irony in the treatment of those who express their truths, stating that just as Afia Pokua has been subjected to humiliation for her honesty, the driver appeared to be under similar pressure.
The incident has sparked discussions online about the repercussions of speaking out and the societal implications of such allegations within the driving community.
