They Won’t Let Me Sleep – Man Complains About Churches Surrounding His Home

Published:

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his frustration over the constant noise from several churches surrounding his home.

In a viral video, he shared his distress, revealing that multiple branches of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have encircled his residence, making it impossible for him to find peace.

According to his account, he is completely boxed in by the churches, with one located in front, another behind, and one beside his house.

He lamented that their services run both day and night, leaving him unable to rest at any time.

The man, visibly distressed in the video, claimed that the relentless noise has started affecting his health, and he now struggles to sleep or focus.

He attributed the situation to the influence of the church’s leader, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, stating that the RCCG churches in his neighborhood operate under his directive.

He accused them of noise pollution and pleaded with Nigerians to intervene before the situation takes a serious toll on his well-being.

In his appeal, he said that the noise was “affecting his brain” and that he feared for his mental health. He begged for a solution, asking what steps he could take to reclaim his peace.

His complaint sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with users offering varying perspectives on the issue.

While some sympathized with him and suggested legal action, others argued that he should relocate or find a way to coexist with the churches.

Some users pointed out that if the noise were coming from a nightclub instead of a church, it might not have received as much backlash.

Others advised him to report the matter to the authorities or take legal action for noise pollution.

Meanwhile, a few individuals suggested he counter the situation by blasting his own music to force a discussion with the churches.

The issue of noise pollution from places of worship has been a long-standing debate in Nigeria, with many residents calling for stricter regulations on church and mosque loudspeakers in residential areas.

However, religious institutions often defend their practices, claiming their gatherings are part of their faith and traditions.
