A significant addition has been made to the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs with the formal induction of three newly enstooled traditional rulers. The induction ceremony took place during the House’s first official meeting held on July 18, 2025.
The new entrants include Nana Akosa Yiadom III of Denyase, Nana Owusu Ampe of Obogu, and Nana Kofi Asante of Sabronum, who now join the ranks of the region’s esteemed traditional leadership.
Their swearing-in was presided over by Justice Mrs. Asmah Taylor, the Supervising High Court Judge for the Ashanti Region, who administered three official oaths—covering office duties, confidentiality, and judicial responsibilities.
Chairing the meeting, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, addressed the new members and urged them to uphold the commitments embedded in the oaths they had taken. He emphasized the importance of discretion and integrity as they take on their responsibilities within the House.
The occasion marks a new chapter in the administration of traditional authority in the region, as the trio is expected to contribute to the ongoing development and governance within the House of Chiefs.
