In a shocking turn of events, Adwoa, the wife of renowned gospel musician Yaw Sarpong, has publicly accused Tiwaa, his female vocalist, of becoming his concubine. Adwoa made the allegations on a popular radio show, Oyerepa Afutuo, hosted by Auntie Naa on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM monitored by News & Vibes.
Adwoa, who has been married to Yaw Sarpong for forty years, claimed that Tiwaa had taken advantage of her husband’s illness and had become his caregiver, effectively pushing her out of the picture. She alleged that Tiwaa had been living with them for thirteen years and had become like a daughter to her, but had now betrayed her trust.
Adwoa also accused Yaw Sarpong’s family of denying her access to her husband and wasting the GH¢100,000 donated by Vice President Dr. Bawumia for his medical care. She claimed that the family had seized her husband’s car, which was necessary for his hospital treatment, and had refused to use the donated funds to complete his housing project.
Tiwaa has not publicly responded to the allegations, but Adwoa’s claims have sparked a heated debate in the gospel music community. Yaw Sarpong’s manager, Nana Poku Ashis, had previously confirmed that the musician was battling a stroke and had been bedridden for over a year.
The allegations have raised questions about the relationships between Yaw Sarpong, Tiwaa, and Adwoa.
