Courage Nobi, who played a prominent communications role within the Movement for Change — recently rebranded as the United Party — has officially ended his association with the political group. His departure was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday, November 3.

He explained that after the 2024 general elections, he took time to reassess his priorities and concluded that his future contribution to Ghana would take a different direction. That decision, he noted, is guided by his values of patriotism, moral responsibility and strong Christian conviction.

Before making this public, Nobi personally informed former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, clarifying that he no longer identifies as a member of the United Party.

During his announcement, he expressed appreciation for the opportunity to work closely with Kyerematen, whom he described as a leader with a clear vision for national advancement. He highlighted the significant mentorship and trust he received during their collaboration.

Nobi reflected on his political involvement, recalling his early role as Director of Communications for the Youth Caucus during Kyerematen’s campaign for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearership. He later assumed responsibilities as Deputy Director of Communications and Deputy Policy Director when the Movement for Change was launched — positions he accepted due to his strong belief in the former minister’s mission.

As he moves away from frontline politics, Nobi extended well wishes to members and executives of the United Party as they proceed with their agenda.

He also stated that although he is exiting partisan activity, his commitment to national progress remains unchanged. His current focus is to contribute to governance reforms, encourage ethical leadership and actively participate in national dialogue on important issues.
