A heart-wrenching video has surfaced, showing the final moments of a 44-year-old zookeeper, F. Iriskulov, who was fatally attacked and devoured by lions at a private zoo in Parkent, Uzbekistan.
The zookeeper, working the night shift, recorded himself entering the lions’ enclosure at 5 a.m., seemingly to impress his girlfriend.
He unlocked the padlock and approached the three lions, who initially appeared calm. However, the situation took a deadly turn when one of the lions suddenly sprang to life and began to approach him.
Despite being surrounded by the predators, the zookeeper remained calm, even stroking one of the lions and addressing it by name, “Simba.”
He confidently flipped the camera to reveal his face, intending to send the video to his fiancée. However, the lions’ demeanor quickly changed, and they attacked the zookeeper, ultimately killing and devouring him.
