Tricycle driver dies as vehicle crashes into school building
A tricycle driver, identified as Yaw Boadi, lost his life while several others sustained critical injuries. The incident occurred during a routine journey from Kwahu Abotreansah to Kwahu Mframah, turning a routine trip into a scene of horror.
The tricycle, known as “Aboboyaa” and bearing the registration M-21-AW 2383, was heavily laden with charcoal as it navigated its way through the hilly terrain of Kwahu Dwerebease. However, tragedy struck as the vehicle’s brakes malfunctioned while descending a steep incline, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
With no means to halt its momentum, the tricycle careened uncontrollably, eventually crashing into the Dwerebease D/A JHS School building with devastating force. The impact was immediate and catastrophic.
Yaw Boadi, the driver, bore the brunt of the collision and tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The severity of the crash also left two passengers critically wounded, their lives hanging in the balance as they were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
As the community reels from the shock of the accident, the driver’s body has been transferred to the mortuary as preparations are made for his final farewell. Meanwhile, thoughts and prayers pour in for the injured passengers as they fight for their lives in hospital beds.
