In a scathing critique of Sarkodie, the prominent Ghanaian commentator, Twene Jonas, expressed his dissatisfaction with the musician’s perceived silence on the economic challenges faced by Ghanaians in his latest episode.
Jonas accuses Sarkodie of being a hypocrite, pointing to his previous vocal criticism of the NDC government and his active role in swaying public opinion in favor of the NPP.
Twene Jonas emphasized how Sarkodie had previously endorsed President Akufo-Addo, even releasing a song in support of him during his first term.
However, as the economic hardships in Ghana continue to escalate, Jonas questioned why Sarkodie has chosen to remain silent instead of using his platform to address these issues as he did with John Mahama.
Expressing his disappointment, Jonas lamented Sarkodie’s failure, in his eyes, to challenge Nana Addo’s governance and address the shortcomings of the current administration.
Jonas urged Sarkodie to speak up and resume his role as a voice of accountability and social commentary, reminiscent of his previous outspokenness on political matters.
