Dr Freda Akosua Oheneafrewo Prempeh, former Member of Parliament and founder of the Ultimate Women Foundation, has urged First Lady Lordina Mahama to take action in a case involving two young sisters, aged five and seven, who were allegedly defiled by a 47-year-old man in Bawku, Upper East Region.

The call for intervention was made during an interview at Duayaw-Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region on November 6, 2025. Dr Prempeh emphasized the need for justice for the victims and their families, highlighting the importance of protecting children from abuse and defilement, particularly in vulnerable and conflict-prone areas.

She also called on women’s coalitions, NGOs, child rights organizations, the Department of Social Welfare, CHRAJ, and the Ministry of Gender to closely monitor the case and ensure that the alleged perpetrator faces prosecution.
