Ghana’s U-20 female side has left the shores of Accra for Johannesburg ahead of their upcoming Women’s World Cupqualifier.

The Black Princesses will face South Africa in the second leg of their third-round qualifier following a stalemate in the first encounter in Accra.

South Africa held Ghana to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend, twice coming from behind to snatch a draw.

Twenty players were called up for the return leg in Johannesburg and left Accra on Tuesday evening, together with the technical team.

The return fixture will be played on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa.

Ghana is aiming to book their eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Poland in September 2026.
