Nigerian model and beauty pageant winner, Ugochukwu Nwokolo, has found himself at the centre of controversy after alleging that popular skit maker Nedu Wazobia manipulated him during an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast.
Nwokolo, who previously made headlines for claiming that “poor girls turn him on” during the podcast, now says his comments were made under pressure. In a recent interview, he revealed that Nedu Wazobia, who owns the podcast, coerced him into making controversial remarks, including references to social media critic Verydarkman, all in a bid to generate online attention.
He further claimed that the entire appearance was scripted and accused Nedu of being more focused on attracting views than considering the mental well-being of his guests. Nwokolo admitted that the incident had negatively impacted his mental health.
The accusations have drawn mixed reactions from social media users, with many questioning how an adult could be manipulated into making such statements. Some suggested that Nwokolo should have been able to resist the pressure, while others criticised Nedu’s alleged tactics.
