A harrowing discovery has been made in Abia State, Nigeria, where one of the bodies of two girls who traveled from Port Harcourt to meet a wealthy man they met on Facebook has been found. The body, identified as that of Abigail Tandoh, a Ghanaian was found with her head, legs, and hands removed, sparking outrage and concern among the public.
Abigail Tandoh and her friend, Celine Ndudim, were lured to Abia State by Andrew Amaechi Ochekwo, an Aba-based businessman, who allegedly sent them money online to entice them. Upon their arrival, both ladies went missing under mysterious circumstances, prompting their families to raise the alarm and declare them missing.
Reports have surfaced indicating that Ochekwo, who was hosting them, may have been involved in organ harvesting.
Earlier this week, a viral video showed Abigail’s body in a hotel room but now a disturbing video circulating online purportedly shows her dismembered remains. The footage has further fueled public outrage and concern as the tragic details of her fate emerge.
Ochekwo, the wealthy man suspected of kidnapping the girls, mysteriously died while being transported from Abia to Abuja in police custody. Allegations suggest he was involved in ritualistic practices and had used the women for such purposes, adding to the shock and horror felt by both the Ghanaian and Nigerian communities.
The disappearance of Abigail and Celine and the subsequent discovery of Abigail’s mutilated body have highlighted the dangers of online interactions and the tragic consequences of falling prey to deceitful individuals. As authorities in both countries continue their investigations, the families of the victims and the public at large are calling for justice and measures to prevent such heinous crimes in the future.
