A mobile money vendor was robbed of GHS55,000 in broad daylight in Atwima Koforidua this afternoon. The victim, who was returning from the bank to his shop, was targeted by two men on a motorbike.
Eyewitnesses report that the thieves, who were riding a motorbike with no registration number, snatched the money bag from the vendor and sped off before anyone could react.
The incident occurred in full view of passersby, leaving many in a state of shock.
The vendor, had just withdrawn the cash from the bank to restock his mobile money business.
The stolen amount is a significant loss for the vendor, who is now appealing to the authorities to help him recover the stolen funds.
