The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, Kingsley Nyarko at this juncture, finds himself embroiled in a scandal following the emergence of a video allegedly depicting them engaged in a questionable transaction during the recent elections in Ejisu.
In the footage, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, the MP can be seen handing over a white envelope to personnel involved in the electoral process at a table.
While the exact contents of the envelope remain undisclosed, speculation and public outcry have ensued, with many suggesting that the exchange could be interpreted as an attempt to influence the electoral proceedings through illicit means.
Such allegations strike at the heart of democratic principles and have raised serious concerns regarding the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
In response to the circulating video, the Electoral Commission (EC) withdrew the EC officials from post to commence investigations according to a statement released by the commission.
