The gesture came after a 21-day period of waiting, during which the pastors had demonstrated their commitment to the church. In a video capturing the moment, Evangelist Mama Pat calls out the pastors to stand before the congregation, acknowledging their hard work and dedication, particularly during the recent fasting period.
Social media has reacted to the news;
Not everyone was impressed. “They can buy 5kg of rice. One crate of eggs. One liter of oil. They’ll eat braised rice and wait for the next 21 days to get paid,” commented someone, implying the amount was insufficient.
Another joked, “Ah Ghs200 keke nti she call someone ein husband in front of the church, Ah. Are they under a spell or what?”
However, some social media users continued to question the amount, with one user writing, “3noaaa nono…. 200 cedis paaaa na 3nn3 Adane 15 cedis no.” Another user sarcastically offered, “I go give them 20,000 each to leave her.”
