In a scene that blends grief with superstition, the family of Maa Adwoa gathered at her gravesite on the first anniversary of her tragic death, imploring her spirit to provide them with winning lottery numbers.
Maa Adwoa met her untimely demise about a year ago when she was shot and killed by her boyfriend. Despite the passage of time, her family continues to mourn her loss and grapple with financial difficulties.
On the solemn occasion of her death anniversary, her family members were seen at the cemetery, engaging in a ritualistic plea to Maa Adwoa’s ghost for assistance in securing lottery numbers.
“Maa Adwoa, as we are leaving, your number is 2788,” one family member was overheard saying. “Before coming here, I went to bet but because of the devil, I didn’t win because he used 7243. If not, today, I would have come with 20 million. Maa Adwoa 2788, let me win, we need money, money,” they beseeched.
Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, a serving police officer was accused of shooting his girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah aka Maa Adwoa on 20th April, 2023.
