Ghanaian hiplife sensation Kuami Eugene has shared his desire to collaborate with fellow musician Eazzy on an upcoming project.
During a recent interview monitored by News & Vibes, the award-winning artist praised Eazzy’s talent, describing her as one of Ghana’s most skilled female musicians.
He believes that a collaboration with her could significantly boost his musical journey.
Interestingly, Kuami Eugene’s admiration for Eazzy comes after a less-than-positive encounter during the 2016 edition of MTN Hitmaker, where Eazzy, who was a judge, gave feedback that left him feeling disheartened.
He recalled how Eazzy doubted his potential to succeed in the industry, which deeply affected him at the time.
“I was so mad, I wasn’t happy with just myself. I was mad at everyone – CharterHouse, the Judges, Okyeame Kwame, Eazzy, and everyone. I felt I did my best. I did everything. I performed and sang well. I felt I’d done so much to deserve the first place. They didn’t even give me a second place. I wasn’t so happy about the result. I felt I was unfairly treated in a way.”
The disappointment was so intense that he felt frustrated with the entire process, believing he deserved a higher placement than he received.
Despite this early setback, Kuami Eugene has since proven his critics wrong. He has become one of Ghana’s most successful artists, amassing multiple awards and gaining international recognition.
His eagerness to work with Eazzy shows a sign of growth and professionalism, as he looks forward to making music with someone he once viewed as a tough critic.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the potential collaboration between these two talented musicians, which could bring a unique blend of styles to the Ghanaian music scene.
