Kumawood comedic actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has found himself in police custody following a tragic incident involving his vehicle. The unfortunate event led to the death of a three-year-old boy.

Lil Win’s arrest on Monday, June 3, 2024, was facilitated by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command’s Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD). The actor was taken into custody shortly after being discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he received medical treatment.

Videos circulating online showed Lil Win being assisted into a police vehicle while seated in a wheelchair, wearing a neck brace, and bearing bandages on various parts of his body. The arrest comes amidst growing public outcry over allegations of reckless driving against the actor.

The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Amakom, Kumasi, when Lil Win’s vehicle collided with another car, claiming the life of a three-year-old boy who was a passenger in the other vehicle. The child’s father, who was driving, is currently undergoing treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Initial reports suggest that Lil Win and his team were en route to either his movie premiere at the CCB Auditorium at KNUST or a funeral when the accident happened. Videos from the scene depicted Lil Win’s car severely damaged, with the actor visibly shaken. He was swiftly transferred to another vehicle for urgent medical attention.
