Known by his stage moniker Famous da Legend, actor Benjamin Sarpong has criticised some of the biggest stars in Ghanaian film.
Not holding back, Famous da Legend revealed the industry’s simmering tensions and suspected backstabbing, especially in relation to Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin’s most recent endeavor, “A County called Ghana.”
Famous claims that the criticism leveled at Lilwin for using Nigerian actors in his movie is a result of a larger problem of hatred between Ghanaian performers.
He disclosed that Lilwin pursued Van Vicker for a part during the film’s casting process, but he was turned down.
This is where the plot gets complicated, though: Ramsey Nouah is playing the part that Van Vicker turned down!
Famous da Legend didn’t hold back when criticizing the lack of harmony and support among Ghanaian actors. He regretted that because of this internal conflict, Nigerians have been able to quickly enter Ghanaian cinema and snatch important roles.
