Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has graduated from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with honors, but it was his speech that has left many talking.
During the ceremony, which took place on Friday, July 26, Stonebwoy proudly declared himself an alumnus of the institution and took a subtle jab at an unidentified individual, saying they were not on his level.
The comment has sparked widespread speculation on social media and entertainment platforms, with many fans trying to guess who the target of his comment was.
Some have pointed fingers at fellow musician Shatta Wale, with whom Stonebwoy has had a publicized feud in the past.
In keeping with the myth that “two kings cannot exist in a kingdom,” these artists have been forced to openly and brazenly demarcate their domain.
Shatta Wale bears the brunt of the blame because he has a history of dragging Stonebwoy through the mud.
However, neither Stonebwoy nor his team has confirmed the identity of the person he was referring to, leaving fans to continue speculating.
Despite the controversy, Stonebwoy’s graduation is a significant achievement, marking the end of his three-year public administration academic journey at GIMPA.
The musician, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, began his studies in 2021 and has successfully balanced his academic pursuits with his thriving music career.
Congratulations to Stonebwoy on his graduation! Do you think he was throwing shade at Shatta Wale, or someone else entirely?
