(Video) Woman stabs mother to death over witchcraft accusation by pastors
A shocking incident has occurred in Abuakwa Asenemaso, Atwima Nwabiagya South District, Ashanti Region, where a young woman has stabbed her 76-year-old mother to death. The motive behind the gruesome act is attributed to allegations of witchcraft made by two pastors.
According to the Abusuapanin (family spokesperson), the woman, whose name is not disclosed, was misled by the two pastors, a man and a woman, who convinced her that her mother was a witch responsible for bewitching her and the family.
In a chilling sequence of events, the woman killed her mother and locked the body in a room. She then attempted to take her own life by consuming a harmful chemical from an agrochemicals shop. Fortunately, a bystander intervened and rushed her to the police station, where she confessed to the crime.
The family spokesperson confirmed that the woman is sane and that the alleged witchcraft accusations led to the tragic events.
The police are investigating the matter.
“She killed the mother and left her in the room locked. She stepped out with blood all over her and outsiders thought that she may have just hurt herself. She proceeded to an agrochemicals shop where she bought a chemical and while trying to consume it, someone saw it and stopped her and rushed her to the police station We the family followed up where she confessed that two pastors had said her mum is a witch , one man , one woman and that is why she killed her.”
