A video of a devastating fire that broke out at Tema Harbour’s Terminal 3 on Thursday, January 8, 2025, has surfaced, showing a cargo truck engulfed in flames and sparking fear and panic among drivers and onlookers.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with thick smoke billowing from the driver’s seat of the vehicle as others scrambled to move away from the blaze.
One witness shouted, “This fire is serious! Look at how it’s burning the car; please move your vehicles away. It’s happening right here at Tema Harbour Terminal 3, and it’s someone’s property at risk.”

Despite attempts by bystanders to control the fire, the flames spread rapidly, forcing many to flee for safety. Emergency responders were later called to the scene to contain the blaze.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been confirmed.
