Amaarae is a Ghanaian-American music artiste

Ghanaian-American music sensation Amaarae’s highly anticipated “Blackout Concert,” which was held at the Underbridge Annex on January 6, 2026, was an energetic music-filled night that saw the appearance of some of Ghana’s big arts like Sarkodie and Gyakie.

The event was the cherry on top of the artiste’s “The Blackout: Amaarae Homecoming Concert.”

Rapper Sarkodie made a surprise appearance which sent the crowd into a frenzy as he shared the stage with Amaarae to deliver an energetic performance of some of his hit songs, leaving the crowd yearning for more.

Amaarae hails Stonebwoy’s unmatched work ethic in music industry

Amaarae showered the rapper with praises, calling him one of the greatest rappers alive.

“Make some noise for one of the greatest rappers alive, the best rapper this country has seen, the best rapper Africa has seen. King Sark,” she said.

Gyakie also mounted the stage and shared the stage with Amaarae, delivering yet another outstanding performance, serving the ever ready audience with her soulful melodious music.

Also spotted at the event was the youngest son of Otumfour Osei Tutu II, Oheneba Nana Kwame Kyeretwie.

The night was a celebration of Ghanaian music, art and culture.
