Frimpong Yaw Francis, widely known as Nana Pooley among Asante Kotoko supporters, tragically lost his life after being stabbed following the team’s 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC.
The unfortunate incident occurred on February 2, 2025, after a violent altercation broke out at Nana Koramansah Park in Nsoatre, Bono Region.
He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but, sadly, did not survive. His passing was later confirmed in an official statement by Asante Kotoko.
Some people have been arrested in connection with the murder but the actual accused person has absconded to Senegal.
