A typical Sunday morning at a church in Pennsylvania took a horrifying turn when a man, identified as 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite, allegedly pulled a gun on the pastor, Glenn Germany, during his sermon.
The shocking incident occurred while Pastor Germany was delivering his message to the congregation, with the service being broadcast live.
According to police reports, Polite entered the church and approached the pulpit, where Pastor Germany was speaking. Witnesses recounted the terrifying moment when Polite brandished the firearm and aimed it directly at the pastor, sending panic rippling through the congregation.
Despite the assailant’s apparent attempt to harm the pastor, swift action from church members and security personnel prevented a tragedy.
A church member jumped on the thief to rescue the pastor.
Authorities were alerted, and Polite was quickly apprehended before he could carry out his alleged intentions.
