In a bid to connect with his constituents, Amoh Kamel, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Asokwa, has embarked on a unique door-to-door campaign.

Kamel is going beyond the traditional campaign trail by offering practical assistance to the people he hopes to represent.

The candidate has been spotted frying meat, preparing banku, and even unbraiding hair for his constituents. This unconventional approach has resonated with the community, who appreciate the personal touch.

However, not everyone is impressed. Social media users have reacted with skepticism, questioning the sincerity of Kamel’s actions.

“Old tactics, any politician that does this is obviously showing you his real self. Don’t fall for it, fear politicians,” wrote one user.

Others have expressed concerns about Kamel’s ability to govern effectively, given his focus on menial tasks.

“So if he becomes MP, this is what he’s going to be doing? He can’t even steer mere banku, what makes him capable of steering the economy of Asokwa well?” asked another user.

Some have labeled Kamel’s actions as disrespectful and accused him of trying to buy votes.

“What a disrespect to the people. The only time you will see them showing ‘Love’. Politicians must stop this nonsense and madness,” wrote a user.

Many have called for a focus on policy and solutions rather than “comedy.” “Campaigns should focus on policy and solutions, not comedy. Nonetheless, if NAPO believes just a t-shirt can secure votes for the NPP…,” said a user.

Others have expressed doubts about Kamel’s commitment to his constituents, wondering if he will continue his door-to-door campaign if elected.

“Settings nkwaaaa… after election, you won’t see them again, don’t be fooled,” wrote a user. Another user simply asked, “Can we be serious in this country for once?”
