Western Regional Minister urges Ghanaians to use Christmas to deepen national cohesion

The Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, has called on the citizenry to use the Christmas festive season to build upon the peace and stability in the country to bring shared prosperity to everyone. 

He made the call when he extended a goodwill message to the people of the region and the entire country as they celebrated the festive season. 

He said Christmas was not only a season of joy but also a moment of national reflection.

“It calls on us to reaffirm the values of sacrifice, compassion, discipline, and unity, which must guide our conduct as citizens and strengthen our resolve to build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous nation,” Mr Nelson noted. 

He stated that at a time when the country continued its journey of renewal and development, this festive season should serve as a reminder that progress was best achieved in unity. 

He said, “Let us use this period to deepen social cohesion, promote peace, and recommit ourselves to responsible citizenship.”
