The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has insisted that it no longer receives physical cash in transactions with customers.
In a notice, it affirmed, “The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that the company has gone fully Cashless.”
The company noted that it does not demand payment for services through phone calls.
It therefore recommended the payment for services fees and bills by personally initiating the transactions through the ECG Power App or the Short code *226#
Meanwhile, it encouraged customers to report all suspicious calls and messages to 0302-611611.
