Popular Ghanaian blogger, Rashad has questioned why families in contemporary Ghanaian society want to become celebrities when a member who is in the limelight gets into trouble.

Rashad’s question comes after the brother of Joana Quaye, the ex-wife of businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye spoke in an interview following the brouhaha that exists between his sister and RNAQ.

Speaking during the recent episode of “Rash Hour”, Rashad said that this has become very problematic and needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Rashad shared that, in contemporary Ghanaian society, when a celebrity dies or finds themselves in trouble, their families instead try to utilize those opportunities to become celebrities themselves.

“In Ghana, there is this trend I have started seeing, that, when a person falls into trouble, their family always wants to capitalize on that to become celebrities themselves”, he shared.

He went on to question, “can’t you see there is a trend like that? These days, when a person falls into trouble, the family always wants to use that to become celebrities themselves too. Let a person find themselves in trouble now, the family would try to capitalize on that”.
