A woman has revealed a shocking story of how her sister was allegedly scammed of over 2 billion old Ghana Cedis by a popular Ghanaian pastor.
Speaking during an interview with MFK on Lawson Afisem, the woman recounted how her sister, living in Italy, was lured into a deceitful business venture by Kwaku Bernard Mpata, the leader of Pathway to Heaven Church in Kade.
The saga began several years ago when the pastor reached out to the woman’s sister on social media. Charismatic and persuasive in his preaching, Mpata gained her sister’s trust, convincing her to follow his instructions without question.
According to the woman, the pastor promised her sister a profitable business deal that would allow her to build something meaningful for her return to Ghana, ensuring she wouldn’t regret her decision.
Trusting the pastor completely, her sister agreed to the proposal, even going so far as to keep the entire arrangement secret from her husband. She sent Mpata a sum of 12,500 euros (equivalent to over 2 billion old Ghana Cedis), believing that it would lead to a lucrative future.
However, years have passed with no results or response from the pastor. Despite her sister’s continuous efforts to reach out, the promised business never materialized, and the money was never returned.
Now, over four years later, the woman is left devastated, watching as her sister’s trust and finances have been exploited by someone she once considered a spiritual guide.
