Ghanaian leading travel firm Litina Travel & Tours has received official endorsement from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to facilitate the participation of fans and stakeholders at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a letter addressed to the company and signed by the Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, the Ministry stated that “following the Expression of Interest (EOI) issued by the Ministry and the subsequent procurement and due diligence processes, your organisation has been selected as one of the endorsed service providers to facilitate the participation of Ghanaian fans and stakeholders for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
The endorsement tasks Litina Travels with the responsibility of coordinating travel logistics for the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
“The Ministry recognises the capacity of your organisation, together with your partners across the globe, to support travel facilitation, logistics coordination, and related services for Ghanaian supporters who intend to attend the tournament,” the letter added.
The move, per the Ministry, forms part of a broader strategy to streamline fan engagement and ensure a structured Ghanaian presence at the Mundial.
According to the letter, “this endorsement forms part of the Ministry’s broader effort to ensure an organised and credible framework for Ghanaian participation and fan engagement during the tournament.”
Litina Travels, a leading travel company, has in recent weeks rolled out mouthwatering packages for football fans and businesses.
Packages range from $3,990 to $6,990 to experience the World Cup in the three host countries.
The travel package includes visa support, official match tickets for Ghana’s group-stage games, return charter flights, accommodation, travel insurance, and access to curated networking sessions.
As part of activities to create a lasting impact, an initiative has been designed to turn the World Cup into a gateway for Ghanaian commerce.
The programme, branded the “Litina 2-in-1 Experience,” blends travel to the World Cup with an international business exhibition aimed at connecting Ghanaian brands directly with global consumers and investors.
At the heart of the initiative is the “Made in Ghana: FIFA World Cup 2026 Expo,” a two-day exhibition scheduled for 22–23 June 2026 at the Envision Hotel & Conference Centre in the United States.
As Ghanaian supporters, diaspora communities, international tourists, and global business figures converge in North America for football’s biggest festival, the expo will create a dedicated platform for Ghanaian businesses to tell their story.
Corporate organisations, SMEs, and entrepreneurs across sectors are invited to participate. Expected product categories include:
• Processed foods and beverages
• Chocolate and cocoa products
• Fashion, garments, and textiles
• African fabrics and handicrafts
• Cosmetics and beauty products
• Spices and agricultural products
• Real estate and investment services
Through the Litina 2-in-1 Experience, participating companies will benefit from:
• Exhibition space at the Made in Ghana World Cup Expo
• Direct access to Ghanaian diaspora consumers
• Opportunities to meet international distributors and investors
• Brand visibility during one of the world’s biggest sporting events
• Structured business networking events
With the Ministry pledging its institutional backing within its mandate, assuring Litina Travels of “its support and collaboration… towards the successful delivery of these services,” fans are assured of the quality of services to be delivered by Litina Travels.
