Newly-promoted sides Samartex Ladies and Oak Ladies will play in the 2026/27 Women’s Premier League following confirmation of their stay.
The two teams picked up wins on matchday 16 of the Ghana women’s top flight, which cemented their place for next season, beating relegation.
Both Samartex and Oak Ladies went into last weekend’s games knowing that they would avoid relegation should they pick up the three points in their respective games.
Oak Ladies came from a goal down to beat defending champions, Police Ladies, at the Alajo Astro Turf with goals from Gifty Addai Boakye and Evelyn Terkunor.
Catherine Arthur scored a late penalty for the Timber Giants in their fixture against Jonina Ladies as they also recorded a 2-1 victory at home.
While Samartex and Oaks confirm their stay in the league, Soccer Intellectuals and Halifax will be the relegated teams from the Southern Zone.
Halifax were beaten 1-0 in their game against Army Ladies, while Soccer Intellectuals were held to a 0-0 draw against LadyStrikers.
