Ghanaian gospel artist Tina Tee, based in Italy, shared her perspective on the challenges of pursuing a full-time gospel music career in Europe during an interview with Zionfelix, monitiored by News & Vibes.
Tina Tee emphasized the financial pressures of living in Europe, stating that individuals must find additional sources of income to cover their expenses.
“In Europe, establishing your brand is not as straightforward as it is in Ghana. Unlike Ghana, where there are bloggers, recording studios, and easy promotion opportunities, Europe requires a lot more effort,” she explained.
She noted that even native Italians struggle to pursue music full-time due to the demands of regular employment. Therefore, she believes it is even more challenging for Ghanaian migrants in Europe to rely solely on gospel music for their livelihood.
“Given that gospel music often requires performances on weekends, balancing it with other jobs becomes difficult. Therefore, being a full-time gospel artist in Europe is unlikely, as you need to prioritize paying bills,” said Tina Tee.
