
17-year-old student stabbed while intervening in lovers quarrel
A devastating incident has left the small town of Trede in shock and grief. Daniel Fosuhene, a 17-year-old student who had just completed his Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE), was brutally stabbed to death while trying to break up a fight between two lovers.
The tragic event occurred on the night of Wednesday, July 10, 2024, when Fosuhene was awoken by the heated argument between the couple in the same house.
Despite the danger, he courageously intervened to calm the situation, but was fatally stabbed in the chest by the boyfriend.
He was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
The community is outraged and heartbroken over the senseless loss of a promising young life.
Fosuhene’s mother, Madam Esther Akyaa, is demanding justice for her son and pleading for a thorough investigation. “I want the Police to expedite their investigation and ensure that justice is served for my late son,” she said.
The incident has raised concerns about the escalating violence in the community and the need for urgent intervention to address the root causes of such conflicts. As the town mourns the loss of a bright and promising student, the community is coming together to demand justice and ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.
