Outspoken broadcaster Kevin Taylor has revealed he’s preparing to make a trip down south, with one key objective in mind — meeting the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Speaking on Radio Gold, the controversial media figure said he now considers himself a “free bird” and is ready to embark on the long-anticipated journey to Kumasi. High on his agenda is a personal meeting with the Ashanti monarch — someone he has publicly criticized multiple times in the past.
Despite his history of harsh commentary directed at the Asantehene, Kevin Taylor insists that he sees no issue with requesting an audience with him. According to him, it’s something he has long wanted to do and believes the time is right.
Aware that some people may feel threatened by his presence in Kumasi due to his previous outbursts, Taylor was quick to dismiss any fear. He confidently stated that no one in the Ashanti Region would dare harm him, making it clear that he has no intention of backing down or avoiding the public.
His bold announcement has stirred renewed attention, especially given his track record of taking on powerful figures. But now, Kevin Taylor appears ready to move from the airwaves to a real-life encounter with one of Ghana’s most revered traditional rulers.
