Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto has announced plans to formally report Nigerian superstar Davido and his close associate Chief Cubana to Nigerian authorities over the alleged misuse of his trending street term, “Attassa.”
The musician expressed disappointment that Davido, currently in Ghana with his 30 Billion Gang crew, has promoted the term without consulting its originator. DJ Azonto intends to pursue legal action to ensure accountability and fast-track the resolution of the dispute in Nigeria.
He also indicated that only Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s father, could potentially halt the legal proceedings with compensation, as neither Davido nor Cubana would heed anyone else.
DJ Azonto has long asserted ownership of “Attassa” alongside other street phrases he created, such as “Fa No Fom,” “Ala Woyo,” “Azonto A Confirmie,” and “Make Dem Tell You.”
