The controversy surrounding Nigerian nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest has taken another twist after a Kenyan woman, Hellen Ati, publicly explained why she named her son after him despite their alleged troubled relationship.
In a statement shared online, Hellen revealed that she had endured insults, abandonment, and humiliation from the celebrity barman, but decided not to strip her son of his paternal identity. According to her, the child deserves to know who his father is and will one day seek him out.
While emphasizing her son’s right to a secure future, Hellen vowed to continue calling out Cubana Chief Priest until he accepts responsibility. She maintained that her demand for child support was not about personal issues, but about ensuring the boy’s well-being.
The Kenyan lady has also been consistent in her request for a paternity test, insisting it must be conducted in Kenya rather than Nigeria, citing distrust of the Nigerian medical system.
Cubana Chief Priest, however, has strongly denied her claims, stressing that he has no child with Hellen Ati and dismissing the allegations as false.
The standoff continues to generate heated reactions online as both sides hold firm to their positions.
