In a statement released on Sunday, September 28, 2025, the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, emphasized that the positions taken by the two individuals do not reflect the official stance of the NPP.

He stressed that no individual has control over the compilation of the party’s polling station album, as the process follows strict, transparent, and well-established procedures.
The leadership assured members and the public that guidelines for compiling the polling station album would be communicated clearly at the appropriate time to ensure fairness and credibility.
The statement also rejected Chairman Wontumi’s claims that the date set for the party’s presidential primaries—January 31, 2026—was designed to benefit a particular candidate.
According to Kodua, the decision was made after extensive deliberations by the National Council in the party’s strategic interest, leaving no room for manipulation by any individual.
