A truck carrying 1,000 bags of cement and another truck carrying a Hyundai van have been destroyed by fire following a collision at Buipe in the early hours of Sunday, February 22, 2026.
The incident happened at about 5:35 am and involved a low-bed truck carrying the Hyundai van and a flat-body trailer loaded with cement.
Reports indicate that the low-bed truck attempted to overtake a vehicle leading to the collision with a broken-down trailer that had been parked along the road.
The impact sparked a fire that quickly engulfed all three vehicles, leaving portions of the trucks severely damaged and some of the cement bags destroyed.
