The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has changed the date for a planned town hall meeting to review its 2025 plan and budget performance.
The meeting will now take place on April 30, 2026, instead of the earlier announced April 28.
The Assembly has invited all social or organised groupings, including rate payers, civil society organisations, women and youth groups, traditional authorities, and the business community, to the Social Accountability/ Town Hall meeting.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, at the Prempeh Assembly Hall at 10:00 am.
“The Forum is in line with the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability and participatory governance as enshrined in Regulation 215 of Public Financial Management (PFM) regulations 2019 (LI 2378) and section 42 of the Local Governance Act 2016 (Act 936).”
The Assembly said the forum presents an opportunity for residents to engage the Assembly on revenue mobilisation, expenditure, and key development projects.
“The KMA urges the public to take advantage of the programme for their voices to be heard,” Management stated.
The Town Hall meeting forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to deepen citizen engagement in local governance and ensure public oversight of municipal finances and projects.
