CEO of MobileMoney LTD, Shaibu Haruna surprised stakeholders last Friday when he took time off the busy office schedule to engage in sports and fitness activities with the Mobile Money Advocacy Group Ghana (MoMAG) to mark Workers Day on May 1.
Mr Haruna was in high spirits as he joined MoMAG for their annual “MoMAG Day Out” on May Day at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon. Participants engaged in sports and fun activities including a football gala for both men and women, sack race, lime and spoon race, tug of peace, draught, playing cards and ludo.
The event, which brought together key stakeholders in Ghana’s mobile money ecosystem for a day of sports transactions, networking, and team bonding, saw the CEO actively participate in several activities, underlining MobileMoney LTD’s commitment to the well-being and aspirations of its partners.
The headline men’s football gala featured MoMAG, MobileMoney LTD, Enterprise Insurance, and Alt Finance Solutions in a good-natured rivalry, with victory not the primary focus.
The essence of such a unique platform to foster wellness and unity for all agents and partners of the company, was commended by Mr Haruna who pledged continued collaboration and conducive working relationship.
“Our agents are the backbone of financial inclusion in Ghana. Days like this remind us that beyond transactions, we are a community. MobileMoney LTD remains committed to supporting your welfare, growth, and advocacy,” he said.
President of MoMAG, Edward Ofori Agyeman, noted that the event was designed to promote relaxation, collaboration, and stronger ties between institutions driving digital finance in Ghana.
He expressed gratitude to the MobileMoney LTD CEO for his continuous support and participation in the May Day Fun Games, and called for more collaboration between the entities to grow the fintech industry.
