Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has indicated that she does not intend dropping the case against Lil Win even if he apologises.
When asked by a news reporter if she will drop the case if Kumawood actor Lil Win apologises, she said, “The matter is in court so the court will deal with it.”
She explained that she wants to teach Ghanaians that one cannot insult another person and go scot free.
Martha emphasized that there are laws and the rule of law must prevail.
“i will let Ghanaians know that i am not joking, ….. so you can’t let someone you have been kind to before and probably he doesn’t know and has not met you before just insult you and say it is a joke. Everyone knows he wasn’t joking.”
“If the law doesn’t work, then it is a bad example for our followers that anyone can insult and just get away with it. i don’t think we should live in Ghana like that.”
Actress Martha Ankomah is taking legal action against fellow actor Lil Win. She’s suing him for saying things that hurt her reputation. She filed a lawsuit on February 14, 2024, asking for Gh¢5 million and other damages.
Ankomah says Lil Win accused her of not wanting to work with Kumawood actors because she thinks their movies are not good enough. This made her look bad, and she wants to set the record straight and get compensated for the harm caused.
