Taxi driver fatally shot by armed robbers in Afigya Kwabre North

A devastating incident has struck the Afigya Kwabre North district in the Ashanti Region, leaving a community in shock and grief. Amos Adusei, a 37-year-old taxi driver, was tragically shot and killed by suspected armed robbers on the Kwaman-Boaman road on Saturday night.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed robbers attacked Amos around 11:15 pm, shooting him fatally.

His brother, Isaac Adusei who is also the Assembly member for the Ahenkro electoral area, confirmed the incident and stated that the police have launched an investigation and taken the body to the morgue for a postmortem examination.

“It was yesterday [Sunday] around 11.15 that I had a call from a colleague that my brother had an accident on the Kwaman-Boaman road. So when I got there, it was not a mere accident, it was a gunshot. The armed robbers attacked him and so we took him to the hospital.:

The community is reeling in shock, as this is the first reported case of a robbery resulting in a shooting death in the area. Residents are calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The police are urging anyone with information about the armed robbers to come forward and assist in their investigation.
